Location: Tampa, Florida
Job Description: New office complex owned by Met life Insurance Company. This was part of an overall development in the exclusive West Shore area of Tampa.
Scope of work: Reinforce and pour 265,000 square feet of lightweight concrete decks, install pile cap foundations & the four,150 foot high shear wall towers for the elevator & stair shafts. Also installed foundation & slab on grade for an adjacent precast parking garage.
Shown in picture: The four shear wall towers & associated formwork. These were the tallest free standing concrete shear walls in the world using European based Meva form system shown in the picture.
